# Product & Technology
> The Product & Technology pillar watches what a company ships, including release velocity, feature analysis, API changes, GitHub activity, tech stack evolution, and app store updates.

The Product & Technology pillar tells you what a company **ships** and how fast its engineering organization moves. This is the most direct view into product investment, revealing velocity, focus areas, and strategic bets before they appear in marketing.
The Product & Technology pillar has nine sub-tabs: **Overview**, **Changelog**, **Feature analysis**, **API Platform**, **GitHub & OSS**, **Dev ecosystem**, **Tech stack**, **App store**, and **More**.
## What it watches
* **Release velocity**: how often they ship and whether cadence is accelerating or slowing
* **Feature releases and changelogs**: what was shipped, when, and categorization by type
* **Predicted roadmap**: features Intelligence expects based on hiring, code signals, and patterns, with confidence scores
* **Feature silences**: features shipped without marketing support (no blog post, no social announcement)
* **API and platform changes**: new endpoints, deprecations, breaking changes, SDK updates
* **GitHub activity**: open source contributions, repository health, commit patterns
* **Dev ecosystem**: SDK downloads, package manager stats, developer adoption
* **Tech stack evolution**: detected infrastructure changes, new frameworks adopted
* **App store version history**: release notes, update frequency, and platform investment
## Sub-tabs
### Overview
A high-level summary of shipping activity showing headline metrics: Release velocity (1.1/week), Days since last ship (0 Days), Releases in 30 days (8), Active GitHub repos (2), and API changes (99, with 15 breaking). Includes a "This week in product" section (Releases shipped 3, GitHub commits 18, Stars gained +190, Most discussed AI/feature), predicted roadmap features with confidence scores, and feature silences.
### Changelog
Tracks official changelog entries and release notes over time. Shows exactly what was shipped, when, and how the release cadence is trending. Useful for identifying acceleration or slowdowns in shipping rhythm.
### Feature analysis
Breaks down releases by category and impact. Shows AI feature ratio, enterprise language frequency, bug fix vs feature ratio, and documentation growth. Reveals where engineering effort is concentrated.
### API Platform
Monitors new endpoints, deprecations, SDK updates, and API versioning. Shows total API changes with breaking change counts. Critical for platform teams watching developer ecosystem competition.
### GitHub & OSS
Tracks open source contributions, repository activity, commit volume, and community health. A repository going stale or a burst of new commits tells a story about engineering priorities.
### Dev ecosystem
Shows package manager stats, SDK downloads, and developer adoption signals. Gauges whether a developer platform is gaining or losing traction over time.
### Tech stack
Detects infrastructure changes, new frameworks adopted, and technology evolution. Reveals platform bets and architectural shifts before they appear in marketing.
