# Reviews & Community

> The Reviews & Community pillar watches customer reviews, ratings, and community sentiment across G2, Reddit, Hacker News, Product Hunt, app stores, and social mentions.

The Reviews & Community pillar tells you what **customers and the market** say back. This is the uncontrolled voice: real users sharing real experiences on platforms the company cannot edit.

The Reviews & Community pillar has seven sub-tabs: **Overview**, **Review platforms**, **Reddit**, **HackerNews**, **Product Hunt**, **Community forums**, and **Social mentions**.

## What it watches

* **Customer reviews**: G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, and app store reviews with rating trends
* **Rating trends**: how scores change over time and whether product updates impact them
* **Community sentiment**: Reddit discussions, Hacker News threads, and organic mentions
* **Product Hunt activity**: launch history, upvotes, community reception
* **Social mentions**: unprompted organic mentions across platforms (distinct from the company's own posts)
* **Complaint and praise themes**: recurring topics surfaced across all review sources

### Overview

A cross-platform sentiment summary showing aggregate ratings, review volume trends, and community pulse across all monitored sources.

Monitors Hacker News threads, comments, and community perception. HN discussions tend to focus on technical depth and are a leading indicator of developer sentiment.

  A company with dropping review sentiment (Reviews) while actively hiring in Sales (People) may be compensating for product issues with sales effort. That pattern is worth investigating, especially if their pricing is also increasing (Business & Finance).
