Here’s everything you need to know about how our pricing works and which plan fits your needs.
First, what are tokens?
Tokens are Rocket’s in-app currency – think of them as the fuel for your app-building journey.
Every time you generate an app from a Figma design or describe an idea in natural language, tokens are used to process and deliver results. The more complex your request, the more tokens it takes.
Here’s how token use typically breaks down:

How tokens work
Allocation: Each plan (except Free plan) comes with a monthly token allowance.
Consumption:
- Natural language / Chat-based app generation
- Figma-to-code translation
- UI styling, responsiveness, and more
Types of tokens:
- Subscription Tokens – Included in your monthly plan, reset every billing cycle.
- Refuel Tokens – One-time purchased packs. Don’t expire unless your subscription is canceled.
- Everything runs on tokens – from chat prompts to screen generation.
If your token balance hits zero, chat and figma designs to code access will pause until your next monthly refresh or unless you upgrade or refuel. - Unused subscription or bonus tokens don’t roll over.

Token Accounting & Calculations
Monthly Token Behavior
- Subscription Tokens:
- Allocated monthly, expire at end of cycle.
- Bonus Tokens:
- Granted with Rocket/Booster plans, same expiration as subscription tokens.
- Reload Tokens (Refuel):
- Purchased separately.
- Do not expire unless subscription ends.
You can buy multiple refuel packs from the subscription modal. Each pack = 5M tokens for $20, and you can select quantities using the dropdown.
Note: Refuel tokens are used the same as any other token. They’re just manual fuel boosts when you need more.
Prorated Upgrade Logic
If you upgrade mid-cycle:

- Credit: $25 ÷ 30 × 15 = $12.50

If you’ve used 3M of your Personal tokens, and upgrade to Rocket:
10.5M - 3M used = 7.5M tokens added instantly
Downgrade Logic
- Scheduled for the next billing cycle.
- No tokens are removed immediately.
Refueling (Top-Up)
Running low on tokens?
- $20 for 5M tokens (1 unit)
- Select multiple units on payment page
- Tokens don’t expire while subscription is active
- Expire at the end of the billing cycle if subscription is canceled
Refuel tokens are great for high-load months or sudden scope increases - flexible fuel when you need it.

When to Top-Up vs. Upgrade

Smart move: If you’re topping up often, upgrading gives better value and bonus tokens every month.
What happens if you run out of tokens?
If you use all your tokens, Rocket will pause generation.
You can either wait for your next cycle or add refuels instantly.
Your work is safe - you’ll still have access to all projects and assets.
Canceling a plan
If you cancel your plan, all unused subscription, bonus, and refuel tokens will expire at the end of the current billing cycle.
Be sure to use them before cancellation takes effect.
You’ll still have access to your projects and can generate new outputs - right up until your tokens run out.
