If you used a browser, check the Downloads folder.
If you transferred it via email or chat, open the file from that app.
Success check: You see a file ending in .apk in your Files app.

Tap the APK to start install
Open your device’s Files or Downloads app and tap the APK file.
This opens a system prompt to install the app.

Allow installs from unknown sources
The first time you do this, Android may block the install and show a warning.
Tap Settings when prompted.
Enable Allow from this source.
Return to the install screen.

Why this matters: Android blocks third-party installs by default. This setting lets you trust the app source once, no need to redo it next time.
Success check: You’re returned to the installation screen.

Tap Install and wait
Tap Install and wait a few seconds.
When it finishes, you’ll see App installed.
You can now tap Open or find the app in your app drawer.
Success check: The app launches or appears in your app list.
Security tip:
Once your app is installed, we recommend turning off “Allow from this source” to keep your device secure.You can do this by going to: Settings → Apps & notifications → Special app access → Install unknown apps
Then, tap the app you used (e.g., Chrome or Gmail) and disable the permission.

Your app is installed and ready to test.
Launch it anytime directly from your device.
