Manually install your app’s APK on Android.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
Download or transfer the APK
Save the APK file to your Android device.
Success check: You see a file ending in .apk
in your Files app.
Tap the APK to start install
Open your device’s Files or Downloads app and tap the APK file.

Allow installs from unknown sources
The first time you do this, Android may block the install and show a warning.
Allow from this source
Why this matters: Android blocks third-party installs by default. This setting lets you trust the app source once, no need to redo it next time.
Success check: You’re returned to the installation screen.
Tap Install and wait
Tap Install and wait a few seconds.
Success check: The app launches or appears in your app list.
Security tip:
Once your app is installed, we recommend turning off “Allow from this source” to keep your device secure.
You can do this by going to:
Settings → Apps & notifications → Special app access → Install unknown apps
Then, tap the app you used (e.g., Chrome or Gmail) and disable the permission.
Your app is installed and ready to test.
Launch it anytime directly from your device.
